“The physics and astronomy research community at Western is an international community involved in collaborative projects around the world. While at Western, I was afforded the opportunity to work with research groups from McMaster, McGill, NRC-Ottawa, and Universidade Federal do Ceará (Brazil).
I frequently employed Western’s unique facilities to study silicon and germanium nanostructures. With these facilities along with my collaborations, I produced featured articles published in peer reviewed journals and award winning presentations at international conferences.
My diverse experience at Western lead to me being awarded a joint postdoctoral fellowship to the Beijing Computational Science Research Centre and the Lisbon Centro de Física das Interacções Fundamentais working on theoretical aspects of electron correlations in a generalized pseudospin-S Dirac system.”
